If you haven't seen Part 1, Years 1-5 yet, it can be found by clicking HERE

Let's pick up where we last left off...

Year 6:

IRON/CANDY

Why Iron and Candy? Iron symbolizes the strength of your bond, and Candy is representative of your life together sweetened by shared experiences.

At this time, Custard doesn't have any specific items that are made with or using iron, nor do we have candy.  Sad, but true!  We have a fun necklace that reminds me of an old school candy necklace that can be found HERE

Tara's personal touch idea- This is a more challenging gift to find- When we celebrated our Six year anniversary I used an option with M&M's to have our photo printed on a bag of candy, and paired it with a tiny iron bowl.  If the M&M idea speaks to you- here's a link to make it happen: CANDY

So, my deepest apologies if you came here looking for IRON- if we find it- you bet we will be in here updating this post.

Year 7:

COPPER/WOOL

Why Copper and Wool?  Represents warmth, comfort, and the value of your partnership. Copper is strong yet malleable, making it the perfect tribute to a relationship that has grown and changed over time. Wool is associated with warmth and comfort—like the fuzzy feelings you get from being truly seen in a relationship.

Year 8:

BRONZE

Why bronze?  The potent mix of copper and tin, to create bronze, represents the union of two lives and the strength resulting from combining your time together with perseverance.  Bronze also symbolizes resilience.

SHOP BRONZE HERE

This is one of my favorite anniversary prompts to work with, mostly because I LOVE bronze.  I am almost always wearing something bronze, and it only looks more beautiful with time.  Some of my favorite bronze options are FROM THIS COLLECTION. This is all cast pieces of pufferfish spine I found on the beach in Mexico.  Each piece from this collection is an exclusive to this store, but also, meant to be worn every day.

Tara's personal touch ideas: gift gifting is one of my love languages and I when you're celebrating something truly special, it's nice to add an extra touch, and one of the ways I like to do that is in the gift wrap.  My favorite way is to put the gift inside another gift- don't stop with the gift wrapped box- hide that box inside a bandana and present it in that.  If this speaks to you, just let us know, and we will give it the Tara treatment.

Year 9:

WILLOW/POTTERY

Why willow and pottery?  Pottery represents nature and simplicity and willow is indicative of nature, flexibility, and the ability to bend without breaking.

SHOP POTTERY HERE

We almost always have way more pottery options in store vs online, so if you're not finding the selection you like here, call us!  Pottery is such a fun thing to shop for because you can really go anywhere with it.  Fun and functional, or forgetting the function, finding a piece to just be beautiful.

Tara's personal touch- willow is not the easiest thing to find when gift shopping.  Sure you can get someone a willow tree- if they have somewhere to plant it, or even a basket made out of willow- OR- you could get wild, and buy them the soundtrack to Willow, or even a copy of the movie- because what's life without being able to quote "Willow"

And last on our list-

Year 10:

ALUMINUM/TIN

Why aluminum and tin?  Traditionally, tin and aluminum were chosen to symbolize this milestone because both metals resist rust and corrosion—just like a strong marriage that weathers challenges and remains resilient.  It also symbolizes durability and the flexibility you've developed together.

Bet you didn't think we had anything for aluminum... But we DO!  We have some really cool jewelry made out of recycled aluminum cans and it can be FOUND HERE

Tara's personal touch:  Honestly when I was researching gift ideas for this one for myself  the internet had the nerve to suggest a trip to Mexico to celebrate this milestone, and while you were there to pick out a cool little gift made of tin.. and you know what?

We did it.

And I am so glad we did.  That trip opened a lot of doors for Custard.  We met a lot of amazing artists, found some truly special pieces to share with all of you and of course, we had an amazing time.

Thanks for reading, and don't forget, if you ever need help selecting gifts, for any occasion- we are here to help you celebrate.

Until Next Time,

Tara
