Axe to Summer
Posted by Tara Kirkland on
This is it! Someone took a hard swing at Summer and Fall snuck in overnight!
That someone wasn't us- but if it had been, this is what it would have looked like! Custard has been ready for Fall for weeks now! Savannah is finally not 90*, I dare say, it was even 70* the other night! And Greenville's early mornings and evenings finally have that crisp in the air that makes you want to wear tights (but we all know, it's not tight time yet- because it's still so warm during the day!)
Dressing for Fall in the South is always a little tricky because it's still so warm in the day but crisp at night, but, lucky for everyone who pops in to one of Custard's two brick and mortar stores, or the virtual store set up in the world wide web, we've got you covered! It's all about the layers, the fabrics, and the prints this year! Fall down South is a beautiful time, but it's just not that cold. We get it, you want to layer, you want to bundle up, but when you do, you're way too hot! So, we've made it a point to stock up on breathable but darker shades of Fall fabrics, sweaters that are light weight but still cozy, cropped pants, and dark shades of summer fabrics. Skinny jeans that breath, dresses with 3/4 sleeves, and organic cotton leggings and recycled plastic bottle long sleeves... the list goes on!
Thinking about being rid of Summer, we took a field trip! And if you haven't figured it out yet- we threw some axes!
Kelsey wears a USA made dress that's wrinkle free and machine washable, and the twist front is beyond flattering, and this length is perfect for transitioning weather.
