Being thankful & Cocktails with Custard - at American Grocery

Posted by Tara Kirkland on

Here at Custard we are getting excited about the upcoming Holiday Season!  Thanksgiving (my personal favorite Holiday) is coming up this week, and to me, that marks the unofficial kick off to parties with friends and family, a season of giving, and being thankful, and the busiest shopping season of the year.  To start you off in the right direction I wanted to share a little bit about myself, and how I celebrate- as well as show off a few photos from our last store shoot!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday for many reasons- I love to be social with my friends and family, and I love cooking AND eating, and of course, I enjoy the general fellowship that comes along with such a fun Holiday centered around enjoying each other's company.  Every year, before we begin our dinner, each member that attends our feast goes around and lists a few things they are thankful for.  I know that once a year is not enough for this tradition, but as the years go on, and we add new friends to our gatherings, I make it a point to offer this tradition to them as well.  My mom is the one who started this- and of course, I am so thankful for her reminding me to always be thankful.

This year I am also thankful for YOU!  All of the amazing people who support me, my business, and my dream!  I am also thankful for my amazing staff- without them, I would not be able to make this dream a reality, and I am beyond blessed to work with my husband every day.  My neighbors and my business friends and of course, EVERYONE out there who gets my vision and supports locally owned shops, restaurants, services... and so on!  I want to wish all of you the most heartfelt happy Thanksgiving- and I hope to see you all soon!

Onward-

SIX quick Tara Thanksgiving facts- 1. My favorite thanksgiving of all time was when I was young and my parents let me pick the menu- and I wanted TACOS!  2. Bo and I have made every thanksgiving meal together since we met.  3.  My favorite part of the meal is the deviled eggs- I feel like I don't eat them on any other day  4. The last few years we have perfected a bourbon brined turkey - MAKE IT YOURSELF 5.  I honestly look forward to this day from Sept 1st onward  6.  The best leftovers we ever had was a pot pie Bo made from our scraps.

About this photo shoot-

It was shot on location at American Grocery Restaurant

After a VERY long day- and we enjoyed a much needed cocktail break-

and it all ties in- because I am thankful for EVERY single moment of this photo shoot and the people behind the scenes that made it happen!
